Doing Life Together: with our family | Darren Hughes | 5-17-15

Most of the time in life, we fall into a family that we weren’t born into. It’s not all roses in these scenarios. In fact, Luke 10:1-3 tells us that we are sent out as lambs among wolves. Desmond Doss was a medic in WW II and he was in that same situation. Because of his religious beliefs and convictions, he suffered a great deal, but we see that he was able to make the best of it because he was humble, consistent and full of conviction. He went on to win the congressional medal of honor and was the first to do it as a conscientious objector.

Doing Life Together: with our family | Darren Hughes | 5-10-15

Doing Life Together with our family requires sacrifice instead of selfishness. This applies to the family in general, but especially with the way we treat our Mothers or how we expect them to treat us. During this message we look at two very different stories from the Bible about two different mothers that show us selfishness and also sacrifice.
