I surrender all is a tough statement that is practically hard to do. However in reality, Christians who live their lives not in surrender to Christ, experience needless pain, suffering, and frustration. In fact, in 1 Peter 5:10, we are told why that it is.
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you” – 1 Peter 5:10
Living a life surrendered to Christ – which is a path of suffering – assures us that we will be restored, confirmed, strengthened, and established during the suffering. It doesn’t take it away, but it allows us a perspective a John 10:10 here on Earth. The difference is Jesus!
